It’s imperative to recognise the time you are at every stage of your life. Few years ago I turned 40 and going by statistics; I’m already half way done with life. This got me thinking about the half time events in the locker room of any ball game. At half time, coaches and their players gather in the locker rooms for a pep talk.
During such talk two things come to play. One, they reflect on what went right or wrong in the first half. And two, they decide how to go about the second half to ensure victory. What stage are you presently in life? Did you just hit quarter break or you’re in your final minutes? Irrespective of the stage you are, remember life is short. So, let have a few locker room moments together.
Do you have a blueprint for your life? Are you playing according to it? Is life presenting to you a different plan? If yes, what do you intend to do? Blend in or bend it? Like any team playing for victory, you must have a well-establishedgame plan, remain focused and be committed to it and have confidence in yourself.
So far, my game plan has worked well. You may be wondering how I did it. The truth is, I’ve refused to blend in to contrary game plans and I’m never afraid of taking risks. Life rewards those who take risks. I mean calculated risks. Taking uncalculated risk in a game is simply handing your neck to your opponent’s
noose, whilst taking well calculated risks lead to big gains.
